Multimedia learning explains how we learn with audio-visual content. It gives educators well-based research principles as guidelines for designing effective learning tasks in face-to-face instruction, 
e-learning, and blended learning situations. But, take notice- although digital media representations can enrich pedagogy and improve students' participation, they can also pose some cognitive overload if teachers don't put to use their knowledge of multimedia learning principles.
